Kindy can do it!
The first part of the year is always focused on getting the children accustomed to playing, working and sharing in the bigger group in the kindy room. And we are already doing this very well! Getting used to the kindy ‘way’ takes a little longer but this is coming along very quickly too as the children master the ‘thinking/planning/doing’ model that we use to run the programme. This means that we’ve been able to start extending on some of the really interesting ideas that come up in the group in an awesomely hands on way!
Projects in the works
We’re talking about costumes a lot but we haven’t been able to narrow our ideas down to something specific yet that we can easily do with the sewing machine. We are very close though… Related to this is the growing interest in making costumes with boxes. This is a slow process and we do have storage constraints but we are hoping to have a selection of these finished over the next few weeks. Please come and ask us about our work.
