A lot of our talk in the circle this morning was about counting:
- how many Easter eggs did we get?
- how many vehicles are in the box at home?
- how do we count the number of Legos we worked with on the weekend?
- how many is too many to count?
One hundred is a popular number when our group wants to express something so numerous that it’s beyond our capacity to imagine it. So we did an experiment and we found out just what 100 looks like — 100 beads, 100 matchsticks, 100 counters on the abacus. It’s not too big to count, but it is too many Easter eggs to eat (all in one weekend anyway!)
So… what does 1,000 look like?
